Charles has spent his entire life in the Augusta area, with the exception of attending Montana State University in Bozeman. Growing up, he spent the summers working for the Forest Service on a wilderness trail crew and fire crews, thus spending a great deal of time in the Bob Marshall and Scapegoat Wilderness areas. He also worked on area ranches as well as a fishing boat in Alaska. After graduating from MSU, he started an insurance agency, Taylor Agency, in 1988. He still owns and operates this business. Charles has been a longtime volunteer of both The Augusta Fire and Ambulance Departments and is an Advanced EMT.
