What does "Under contract, taking backups" mean?
In our property descriptions, you may see "Under contract, taking backups." This refers to the fact that someone has placed an offer on the property, and the seller has accepted that offer.
Does this mean that you should still express your interest in the property?
Absolutely!
There are two great reasons!
1) If you decide you would like to own the property, you can submit an offer (a "backup"). If the initial sale does not go through (which does happen sometimes), you're in position to purchase the property!
2) Not quite what you're looking for? We can search all over the Hi-Line and Central Montana for you until we find just what you want!
What does "MLS" stand for?
MLS is a nationwide abbreviation for "Multiple Listing Service." By forming a local association (i.e. Great Falls MLS or Havre MLS) with a centralized site for property information, all listings are accessible by all realtors in the area.
